No. Your existing address continues to work exactly as before. The Digital Pata is an additional, precise reference that machines can read — useful when an ambulance, a rider or a department needs to find the building rather than the locality.

No. Any phone camera or QR scanner opens the page in the browser that is already on the device. There is no login and no download.

The code is printed in plain text on the plate. You can read it out over a phone call, write it on a form, or give it to a visitor who has a phone. Nothing on the plate depends on you owning a device.

No. The programme is run by the municipal corporation and both the survey and the plate are provided free of cost. Nobody should ask you for a payment at any stage — if they do, report it to the ward office.

Report it to your ward office with the Digital Pata code printed on the plate. Staff can correct the record from the dashboard and the change appears on the page immediately — the plate itself does not need to be replaced.

The code stays valid; only the printed plate has to be reissued. Inform the ward office and a replacement is printed in the next batch for your street. Meanwhile the page can still be reached using the code.

The code belongs to the building, not to the occupier, so it does not change. The occupier details on the record are updated by the corporation through its normal mutation process.

Scanning shows public civic information — the ward, the location and the services offered by the corporation. It does not reveal personal documents, ownership papers, or contact details of the residents.

The municipal corporation. It is held in the corporation's own system and used for civic administration. It is not sold or shared with advertisers.

It cannot. The plate is printed material with no chip, battery or sensor of any kind. What the system records is that a code was scanned, which helps the corporation see which wards are actually using the service.

No. Scanning is anonymous. You only share information if you choose to fill in a complaint form or proceed into a payment portal, and in that case it goes to the relevant department, not to the page.

It depends on property density and how many survey teams are deployed. Planning, survey, verification and plate fixing typically run in parallel across streets, so a ward progresses in weeks rather than months.

No. The microsite links out to the portals you already run for tax, water and grievances. Digital Pata adds the property-level entry point; your departments keep their existing workflows.

Yes. Service tiles, links, officer contacts and banners are all configured by your staff, per city, with a live preview before publishing. Changes reach every plate in the field at once.

Survey coverage and verification status by ward and colony, plus scan activity by day, week and month, so you can see where the programme is being used and where it needs a push.
